PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Frigid-X™ Adjustable Spot Cooler is a low cost and maintenance free Adjustable Spot Cooler system which utilizes a vortex tube to produce cold air at one end.

Temperature can be adjusted using a knob at the hot end to set the temperature precisely to your requirements. Temperatures range from approximately minus 30°F to room temperature and can be easily set with a thermometer.

The Adjustable Spot Cooler comes with three brass generators for flow rate adjustment - 15 SCFM (425 SLPM), 25 SCFM (708 SLPM) and 30 SCFM ( 850 SLPM) providing refrigeration up to 2100 BTU/hr (615 Watts).

Sub-zero cold air temperatures from an ordinary compressed air supply for
spot air cooler applications where adjustability is important!

Cold air is directed using the flexible tubing. A magnetic base is standard for portability and easy mounting of the adjustable spot cooler.

Units are available with either a single point hose kit for small surface areas, Adjustable Spot Cooler or a dual point hose kit when heat is generated over a larger surface area.

Adjustable spot cooler can produce a wide range of airflow and temperature by adjusting the knob at the hot end and changing the various generators supplied.

The generators control the air consumption and are easily interchangeable.

Our Adjustable spot cooler has a 25 SCFM (708 SLPM) generator installed that will produce up to 1,800 Btu/hr. of cooling. If less is required, the 15 SCFM (425 SLPM) generator can deliver 1,100 Btu/hr.

If more cooling is needed Nex Flow™ can supply you with the 30 SCFM ( 850 SLPM) generator for up to 2,100 Btu/hr. of cooling.

The Frigid-X series Cabinet Enclosure Cooler for electronic control panels provide a low cost method of both purging and cooling electrical and electronic control panels by using a stainless steel vortex tube to create cold air from ordinary compressed air.

Our Cabinet Enclosure Coolers are compact and can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout.

Nex Flow™ offers a High Temperature Warning Sticker free with every Frigid-X Panel Cooler  purchased for the air conditioning of electrical and electronic control panels.  High temperature inside a control panel can be damaging to internal equipment and lead to unplanned shutdown of factory operations.  The label provides for an effective  warning with a color change indicator to ORANGE and a danger warning with  a color change indicator to RED.  Color change is reversible so when the temperature problem is corrected, the label can continue to be used indefinitely.  While it is a qualitative measurement only, it provides an ideal cautionary monitoring of possible temperature problems within a control panel.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Silent X-Stream™ Frigid-X™ Panel Cooler series for electronic control panels provide a low cost method of both purging and cooling electrical and electronic control panels by using a stainless steel vortex tube to create cold air from ordinary compressed air. Utilizing a hot and cold end muffling kit the unit is made extra quiet to under 64 dBA depending on capacity. The hot end muffler also acts a "heat guard" - you can actually wrap your hand around it without feeling much heat. The hot air is exhausted safely underneath the hot end muffler.

The  Silent X-Stream™ Frigid-X™ Panel Cooler series are compact and can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout. There are virtually no moving parts.

The Mini Spot Cooler is a low cost and maintenance free system which utilizes a vortex tube to produce cold air at one end. It is quiet and compact.

Designed for small parts, the Frigid-X™ Mini Spot Cooler produces a stream of 15 to 20 degree F (minus 9.5 to 7 degree C) of cold air to prevent heat buildup depending in inlet air temperature. It can improve tolerances in machining of small critical parts and increase production rates.

Cold air is directed using the flexible tubing. A magnetic base is standard for portability and easy mounting of the mini spot cooler.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

When lubrication is required as well as cooling, lubricating mist can be reduced and cooling enhanced.
Heavy coolant can be messy, costly and must be carefully maintained. Dry machining is not always possible due to the need for lubrication or additional cooling that cold air alone cannot provide.

The unique patent pending low cost Frigid-X Sub-Zero Vortex Tool Cooling Mist System is ideal for these applications. The unit is comprised of a coolant/lubrication suction system which draws any water based liquid into a specially designed delivery system. This cools the liquid to deliver a very cold fluid "mist" at around 40 degrees F (5 degrees C). This cooling allows for as much as 20% less coolant needed, faster production rates and improved quality. An Adjusting screw controls the amount of mist required. Simple operation, no moving parts except for the adjusting screw means long life, low cost operation and zero maintenance.

Frigid-X™ Tool Cooling System for dry machining applications - replaces polluting and often toxic mist systems to improve dry machining operations. No mess, no residue and low in cost.

It is efficient and can improve dry machining operations and assist in spot cooling applications for a variety of industrial machining processes but increasing matchining rates and extending tool life.

Produces cold air at approximately 50° F (28° C) below supply air temperature. The unit is muffled for quiet operation. No moving parts assures long life, maintenance free operation while extending tool life and improving production rates.

Can often replace costly mist coolants and certainly improves the quality and output of all types of dry machining operations from metals to plastics. Unit is low cost, no electricity with no moving parts and is essentially maintenance free.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Nex Flow™ Stainless Steel vortex tube uses a brass generator as a standard item rather than cheap plastic for longer lifespan and for applications in high temperature environments. With virtually no moving parts, the  vortex tube takes compressed air and converts it to cold air at one end and hot air at the other.

Temperature as low as minus 50° F (minus 46° C) can be achieved at the cold end and up to 260° F (127° C) at the hot end.

Nex Flow Vortex tubes are available in three basic sizes and in several packaged versions.
